About

Every family has a story worth preserving.

For generations, the history of the Stovall family has been passed from one generation to the next through photographs, letters, family Bibles, military records, treasured keepsakes, and stories shared around kitchen tables. While many of these memories have survived, others have been lost with the passing of time.

The Stovall Heritage Foundation was created to help preserve the history before they disappear. Our goal is to collect, organize, and share the people, places, documents, and memories that tell the story of the Stovall family and the families connected to it.

This website serves as a digital heritage center where our family's history can be preserved, shared, and discovered by future generations.

Our Mission & Vision

Mission

Our mission is to preserve, document, and share the history of the Stovall family and the families connected to it through genealogy, photographs, historical records, family heirlooms and artifacts, cemetery preservation, and digital archives.

By preserving these pieces of our past today, we help ensure that future generations can discover their roots, understand their heritage, and appreciate the people, places, and stories that shaped our family's history.

Vision

We envision a lasting digital heritage center where family history is more than a collection of names and dates—it is a story brought to life.

Through photographs, historical records, family heirlooms and artifacts, military history, genealogy, historic places, and family stories, we are creating a lasting resource that preserves the legacy of the Stovall family and the families connected to it.

As research continues and new discoveries are made, this archive will grow into a place where future generations can explore their roots, deepen their understanding of their heritage, and honor the lives of those who came before them.

Building the Foundation

Every lasting foundation begins with a clear purpose.

As the Stovall Heritage Foundation takes shape, our efforts are focused on preserving our family's history, honoring those who came before us, and building a strong foundation for future generations.

Our current work includes:

Establishing the Stovall Heritage Foundation.
Developing a lasting digital heritage center.
Building the James Ralph Stovall Life Story Archive.
Organizing and preserving historic family photographs.
Expanding genealogical research into the Stovall family and related families.
Planning a Stovall family memorial monument at McClure Cemetery to honor the generations who came before us.

As the Foundation grows, new collections, research, and preservation projects will be added over time.

Looking Ahead

The Stovall Heritage Foundation is a living project. As new photographs, documents, stories, and historical records are discovered, this digital archive will continue to grow for generations to come.

We invite you to explore, learn, remember, and help us preserve another piece of the story.

Every photograph, every document, every story preserved today becomes a gift to future generations.
